Abstract |
Ligophorus liewi, new species, L. johorensis, new species, and L. grandis, new species, are described from Moolgarda buchanani off Johor, Malaysia. Ligophorus liewi, new species, is similar to L. kederai in having fenestrated ventral anchors but differs in having a distally tapered and bent accessory piece of the copulatory organ. Ligophorus johorensis, new species, is similar to L. kedahensis but it differs in having a raised antero-median protuberance (AMP) and longer copulatory tube. Ligophorus grandis, new species, is the largest Malaysian Ligophorus species and can be differentiated from the other species by its distally hooked-shaped accessory piece. |

Abstract |
Three new species of Schistura are described from the middle Nam Ngiep drainage, central Laos. Schistura albisella, new species, occurs in small tributaries, in very fast stretches; it is distinguished by its unique colour pattern of 10–14 irregular blackish bars over a greyish background, more or less completely covered by a broad dark-brown to black midlateral stripe and, above it, a thinner stripe between the head and below the dorsalfin base; the bars and stripes leave a pattern of whitish saddles and spots along the back. Schistura musa, new species, was observed in the Nam Ngiep and the lower part of its tributaries on pebble to stone bottom along the shores, with moderate to fast current; it is distinguished by a very elongated body with a marked hump behind the head, a colour pattern usually made of 13–18 poorly contrasted and irregularly shaped vertically elongated marks, on lower part of flank, from below dorsal to caudal base, more contrasted posteriorly; some specimens are plain brown or have a clearer pattern of 17–19 bars; the marks may leave a pale stripe between their upper extremity and the darker dorsal midline; 8+7 branched caudal-fin rays; 7½ branched dorsal fin rays; and an incomplete lateral line. Schistura crassa, new species, was observed in the Nam Ngiep and its tributaries, among stones, in stretches with fast current; it is distinguished by a stout body and caudal peduncle, an incomplete lateral line, a dull brown body with 8–11 poorly contrasted bars, mainly as a midlateral row of irregular blotches overimposed on an inner axial stripe; largest specimens with a plain body. All three new species have a small size, less than 57 mm SL. All three are endangered by the construction of several dams on the Nam Ngiep. |

Abstract |
Forty-three species and two subspecies of the genus Myopias Roger, 1861 have been known from the Australian, Oceanian, Oriental, and southern Sino-Japanese realms. Among them, four species are known from Borneo. In this paper three new species are described from Sabah (East Malaysia), Borneo, based on the worker caste and dealate gyne: Myopias etsukoae, new species, Myopias striaticeps, new species, and Myopias suwannaphaki, new species. A key to the seven Bornean species based on the worker caste is provided. |

Abstract |
Three new species of hymenosomatid crabs of the genus Elamena H. Milne Edwards, 1837 are described from Lombok Island, Indonesia. Elamenanara, new species and E. sira, new species differ from the congeners by the shape of male first gonopod, which have two and one subdistal setae, respectively, while E. similis, new species resembles E. vesca Ng & Richer de Forges, 1996 but differs in having more squarish third maxilliped, and four long subdistal setae on male first gonopod instead of elongate third maxilliped and eight long subdistal setae |

Abstract |
Three new species of the pagurid hermit crab genus Catapagurus A. Milne-Edwards, 1880 are described and illustrated on the basis of material from the Bohol Sea, Philippines, collected by the PANGLAO 2004 Marine Biodiversity Project. Catapagurus exilidigitus, new species, appears closest to C. tanimbarensis McLaughlin, 1997 within the C. misakiensis Terao, 1914 species group, but it is readily distinguished from the latter by the wide U-shaped median cleft of the telson. Catapagurus fimbriatus, new species, is notable in having a characteristic fringe of setae on the mesial surfaces of the ambulatory dactyli and propodi of the pereopods 3. Catapagurus latus, new species, appears closest to C. haigae (Asakura, 2001) in the general shape and armature of the ambulatory dactyli within the C. ensifer Henderson, 1888 species group, but might be unique within the group in having a setal cluster on the distoventral portion of each ambulatory propodus. The number of species of Catapagurus known from the Philippines increases to seven. |
