A new freshwater crab species of the family Potamidae is described from the boundaries of northern Vietnam and southern China. Tiwaripotamon pluviosum sp. nov. can be distinguished from other species by a suite of morphological characters, including a relatively flat carapace, relatively less slender legs, and distinct dorsal flaps on the male first gonopods. Molecular data using the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) also supports this species as being new.

Landouria intha, new species, is described from Myanmar’s Shan state. The new species possesses a relatively large, light reddish brown shell with a flat dorsal side, strongly keeled body whorl, wide umbilicus, and prominent periostracal folds (scales) on the shell surface. The reproductive anatomy is characterised by a long penis, a thin sheath around its very distal part, a very long flagellum with several nodes at the basal part, and multiple horizontally arranged nodes at the terminal part. The new species turned out to be the sister species of L. omphalostoma Páll-Gergely & Hunyadi in Páll-Gergely et al., 2013, from China on the mitochondrial tree of16S rDNA sequences

Based on the results of molecular and morphological systematics analyses, a new species, Leptobrachella namdongensis, is recognised from Nam Dong Conservation Area in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. Genetic divergences in the16S rRNA gene between the new form and other species in the genus range from 4.7 to 21.0% and average at approximately 24%. The new species is most similar to L. petrops and L. puhoatensis, but can be distinguished from them and other congeners by a combination of the following morphological characters: size medium (30.9 mm in the adult male and 32.1–35.3 mm in adult females); head wider than long; tympanum distinct; throat immaculate white, chest and belly with dark specking on outer margins; toes with basal webbing; supratympanic fold edged by a distinct black line; inter-orbital region with distinct black blotches; iris bicoloured, upper half copper, fading to golden in its lower half; head without dorsolateral markings.
