Abstract |
A new harpacticoid species of the genus Parathalestris Brady & Robertson, 1873 was collected from dead staghorn corals (Acropora spp.) on Tao Island in Surat Thani Province, southern Thailand. Specimens of both sexes of Parathalestris yeemini, new species, are described herein. Sexual dimorphism is expressed in the antennules, P1, P2, P5, P6 and urosomites. Parathalestris yeemini, new species, is most closely related to P. parviseta Chang & Song, 1997 from Korea and P. mourei Masunari, 1988 from Brazil in sharing nine-segmented female antennule, specific structure of female genital field, P1 basis of male blunt, curved, and directed upwards, and P2 endopod II of male strongly modified. |

Abstract |
A new species of the phoxocephalid amphipod, Phoxocephalus tiomanensis, new species, was discovered from the littoral area of Pulau Tioman, Malaysia, South China Sea. This brings the total members of the genus to 11. These 11 species were examined taxonomically, and variation was noted in some characters. Phoxocephalus tiomanensis differs from other congeneric species by the following characters: the subtriangular basis of the pereopod 5, the particular setae at carpus of the pereopod 7, and the absence of facial setae on epimeral plates 2. |

Abstract |
We describe a new species of Pulchrana from the island of Sumatra, in western Indonesia. Pulchrana fantastica, new species, is currently only known from Aceh and Sumatera Utara provinces. It is related to P. siberu and P. centropeninsularis as inferred from morphological similarity and phylogenetic relationships, estimated from DNA sequences. It can be diagnosed by the following unique combination of characters: (1) SVL adult males 40.32–45.19 mm; (2) males have large humeral glands on the anteroventral surface of brachium, nuptial pads absent; (3) dorsal skin finely granular to granulated, with or without asperities at the tip of granules; (4) webbing formula: I(1 ― 1–11/2)II(1/2 ― 2)III(1 ― 2–21/3)IV(2–21/3 ― 1)V; (5) straight dorsolateral stripes, thin, continuous, anteriorly confluent at snout, posteriorly interconnected by a series of spots; (6) middorsum in adults black with light medial line or combination of spots and line, black without marking in juveniles; (7) dense cream or yellow to orange spots on flanks, and dorsal side of limbs, spots non-uniform in shape; (8) venter greyish or brown, with small light dots on throat and chest, sometimes reaching abdomen; (9) iris background black, lower part with dense orange stippling, upper region with orange reticulation with gold in the middle, pupil encircled with solid orangegolden line; (10) upper and lower lip grey or brown with cream or yellow spots. We also report the presence of P. centropeninsularis from Sumatra; a species previously known only from a single locality in the Malay Peninsula; and discuss the biogeographic implications of this significant range extension. |

Abstract |
The land snail genus Quantula Baker, 1941 from the southern part of north-eastern Thailand was studied. The results of studies on shell morphology, reproductive anatomy, and molecular phylogeny reveal the distinctions between two species—Quantula weinkauffiana (Crosse & Fischer, 1863) and Quantula doma, new species. |

Abstract |
A new species of diapherid snail in the genus Sinoennea Kobelt, 1904, is described from Son La Province, Northwestern Vietnam. Sinoennea copiaensis, new species, has a cylindrical glassy white shell sculptured with regularly spaced axial ribs. The parietal side of the peristome extends over part of the penultimate whorl. |

Abstract |
A new species of Pseudogobiopsis is described, solving the identity of a goby from Java in a Kuhl and van Hasselt painting from Java. The species reached the European aquarium trade since at least 2001 but its identity had remained unknown due to lack of preserved, scientific specimens. Recent collections in Sumatra and Java included specimens of this new goby, which resembles P. oligactis. A revised key to the species of the genus is provided. |
