Abstract |
Only few species belonging to the genus Pseudogaurax Malloch, 1915 (Diptera, Chloropidae) have been recorded from the Oriental region after Cherian described the first in 1976. Here we describe two new species from Singapore, Pseudogaurax sexnotatus Ismay & Ang, new speciesand P. striatus Ismay & Ang, new species. We discuss the biogeography of this genus, as well as taxonomic issues that are related to the separation of Pseudogaurax from Gaurax Loew, 1863. The species were discovered using NGS barcodes and are part of an ongoing campaign to document the biodiversity of Singapore. |

Abstract |
The collection of the National University of Singapore as well as material collected in 2018 were checked for Sciomyzidae, resulting in the uncovering of two species previously unknown to Singapore: Sepedon senex Wiedemann, 1830, and Sepedon plumbella Wiedemann, 1830. These records are the first observations of the family Sciomyzidae in Singapore. |

Abstract |
These seem to be the first records of Pachyteria dimidiata in Singapore. The closely related Pachyteria virescens has been recorded in Singapore (see http://wallace-dev.tk/species/A-Arth-Hexa-Coleoptera-000456) and is differentiated from P. dimidiata by its red (instead of black) thorax and uniformly black elytra without a yellow band. Before these records, there were no specimens of Pachyteria dimidiata from Singapore in the collections of the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum. The species has also not been seen by macro photographers and amateur coleopterists on Singapore Island. Elsewhere, Pachyteria dimidiata has been recorded from Sumatra, Borneo (Sarawak), Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, India and Iran (Hutacharern & Tubtim, 1995; Özdikmen et al., 2009; Trương & Nguyễn, 2010). In Vietnam, it is known to feed on the wood of the star apple (Chrysophyllum cainito) (Trương & Nguyễn, 2010). |

Abstract |
Two species of polydesmid millipedes: Anoplodesmus saussurii (Humbert) and Chondromorpha xanthotricha (Attems) are reported for the first time in Singapore. Both are believed to be non-native to the country, and appear to have recently arrived with imported plants and compost. |

Abstract |
The kinorhynch fauna of Singapore, or from any locality close by, has never been explored. For the present study, samples of Kinorhyncha were collected at seven localities around Singapore. This revealed the presence of at least nine different species distributed across four genera. Two species, Echinoderes tchefouensis and Condyloderes paradoxus, are known from other localities in Asia, whereas the remaining seven species are new to science. Three of them, Centroderes impurus sp. nov., Echinoderes annae sp. nov., and Leiocanthus nagini sp. nov., are described, whereas materials representing the remaining, potentially new, species were too limited to allow complete descriptions |
